I loved this book! I think it may be considered a “children’s book” but don’t let that stop you from reading it. 😍 The Secret of the Blue Glass was published originally in Japan in 1967 and has been recently published with translation from Ginny Tapley Takemori. She also translated Convenience Store Woman.

Get more joy out of your photography and print your photos! Digital is a great way to capture images but it’s not always the best way to store or display those moments.
We will talk about how easy it is to print your photos – in the Nelson Photo lab, on the Canon Selphy printer and with the Instax camera & printer. She’ll also show you some quick ways to document your photos, tell your stories and enjoy the process. These are also great photo gifting ideas for any season! This one hour workshop will highlight what is possible in modern scrapbooking.
In 100 years, someone who sees your prints in a photo album or scrapbook will see your legacy. Someone who stumbles across one of your discarded hard drives probably won’t.
Feeling all kinds of creativity with these kids! Making collages with old book & music paper and chalk & oil pastels.
Cool Tokyo Guide by Abby Denson, How to Find Love in a Bookshop by Veronica Henry & InStyle magazine Are you reading anything you’d recommend?
I’m so happy that my Gelli Arts gelli plates were so easy to cut! I have 2 that were beat up & I thought they’d be great for my kid’s art classes. I cut them into squares using an Olfa rotary cutter & it cut them perfectly! Much more precise for me than using scissors. Wanted to share in case you want to try cutting your plates
More books I read and can recommend! Enjoy! What We Were Promised by Lucy Tan, The Great Passage by Shiwon Miura and My Oxford Year by Julia Whelan.
Finally made it to Better Buzz in Hillcrest & it’s awesome! In an old antique shop - they have made it into a very unique & friendly coffee house.
Lots of tables for planning, people watching & of course having coffee. My pour over was perfect and next time I’m having a matcha scone!
I wish you could see these in real life! They’re so amazingly beautiful - I feel as though I have my own Rifle Paper flowers! The rose is called “Strike it Rich” from Star Roses.
I received my #howardandmargaretfanclub postcard from @globalpenpal ❤️ If you don’t know the story please go to her Instagram to see all the fun & romance! Especially all you military spouses 😍 I was able to meet Deanna at Paper Tales while she & her husband were vacationing. Now I need to visit her to do some serious vintage shopping!
