See - I was always a reader! That's a photo of me when I was 3-years-old asleep holding a book! The other photos are of books from my childhood ❤️
Last minute prep for a birthday party at the store this afternoon! 🎈🎈🎈Shimelle's Glitter Girl paper, washi tape, etc...
This is such a crazy story for me to share! I was yearbook editor with my friend Katie Andrews and Mrs. Bedford was our advisor at Bullard High School in Fresno. We were editors in 1981/82 - her final year teaching. She was a fun lady!
I received an email today from a friend's older sister with the email sharing that Viola Bedford's Levi's are the oldest pair of Levi's jean ever found! What?!? Mrs. Bedford had Levi's?!? OMG! I'm sharing the link to the article for you to read. It made my year and brought back awesome memories of Mrs. Bedford and my sweet friend Katie who passed away much too young. I wish Katie was here for me to call and laugh about this funny news with!

The Sandcastle Girls By Chris Bohjalian is the One Book, One San Diego selection for 2017! I'm sharing the San Diego Union Tribune recommendation here in case you missed it. My mom & I will attend an event at the Central Library on Wednesday night & I hope to have my book signed! The book was written in 2012 and I have had my copy since the day it came out - I couldn't believe an acclaimed author would write a book about the Armenian Genocide. Most of you know that I'm 1/2 Armenian (my dad) and how I feel about the injustice the Armenians continue to endure as the Genocide is still not acknowledged by the US & many other countries. Ok - ramble over! 😍 My Grandma Aznive would be thrilled by all this!
