A tip for lazy crafters with OCD! I don't like my card making to be too complicated - but I like it to look perfect. (I know...I have a few other issues too!) So anyway I always struggled to make shakers cards to my liking. Some of my friends suggested using thicker foam and that has been amazing! We sell the 3mm foam sheets and I die cut that and put adhesive on it instead of using foam tape. No gaps or sticky, unfinished edges.
But the white looked awful with the brown woodgrain, so I used a brown Copic marker on the foam edges of the snow globe and brown acrylic paint on the frame. (Maybe you can find just the right 3mm brown foam - but I'm usually making these at 1am so it wasn't an option.) Voilà! I'm so happy!
